About the day.

Koh Tao's reputation is older than its tourism. The northern and eastern reefs — Chumphon Pinnacle, Green Rock, Japanese Gardens, Mango Bay — are among the oldest shallow dive sites in Southeast Asia, and they remain the most forgiving. Water is clearest between April and October, when visibility opens to twenty meters or more. Sea turtles and blacktip reef sharks are regular. The island itself is loud these days; the reefs offshore are not. Your day is shaped around the sites that suit your party's pace — the shallow coral gardens for breath-hold practice, the deeper pinnacles when the water is still.

A private Koh Tao charter is 42,000 THB for the whole boat, up to 12 guests. That works out to about 3,500 THB per guest at capacity. Includes the private speedboat with captain, Minseo as PADI Master Freediver guide, all freediving and snorkeling equipment, drinking water, fruit, and a short film of the day.
Do I need freediving experience for Koh Tao?
No. Minseo shapes the day around your party — surface practice and coaching for first-timers, deeper descents for those who are ready. The charter is yours, so the pace is yours too.
What happens if the weather cancels a Koh Tao day?
Minseo confirms sea state the day before. If BADA cancels for weather, you receive a full refund or a free date change. You never lose a deposit to the Gulf.
How many people can join a Koh Tao charter?
Four to twelve guests aboard. The boat is always yours and no one else's for the day. Minimum four keeps the charter economical; twelve is the legal capacity.
Where does the Koh Tao charter depart from?
The boat departs from Fisherman's Village Pier in Bophut, Koh Samui. Hotel pickup on Samui is included. Minseo sends the exact meeting point and time once your date is confirmed.
How far in advance should I reserve Koh Tao?
Three to five days is comfortable. During peak season (December to April) a week or more is wise, especially for weekends. A 35% deposit secures the date.
